July wonder why

Hello Readers!

I am sorry I have not been posting lately. Its always one thing or another, I don't find time or have much to say.. but, I have been having lots of fun and finding new insights about Korea, life and living of course! !

The other weekend Rebecca and I left the city in search of the ocean. We got there. sort of.. Well... a few bus rides later, we ended up on a remote island off Incheon airport. It was surrounded by mud flats and seagulls, but was still very cool. . . Nothing was on this small island but a restaurant selling clams to bake on the BBQ, and some Soju, plus a building that ran the ferry boat that arrives there and goes to more outer islands. . . We scrambled around on the beach for a bit getting bitten by mosquitoes, and avoiding crabs. It was beautiful.. The island was covered in dense jungle like forest and surrounded by rocks. It was foggy outside, and we could only hear the crying of invisible seagulls somewhere beyond the cloud. And that’s all we could hear.. Nice to get away from Seoul for a bit!! Hopefully we will find the bigger Islands soon.

I didn't take any pictures of that, but I think Rebecca did on her cell phone cam so I will try and get them. Below are some pictures of my two youngest groups of kids. Today I played the yellow submarine for them on guitar, which they liked a lot more than the text book. They were actually very good singers! :) I will try and write more often, please feel free to leave comments and questions.
love,
Annie
