Hello everyone!
Like the Beatles say, it is getting better all the time.. . I am sometimes surprised that this actually seems to be the case, despite all clinical post modnern tendanies.. Last weekend rode my scooter, (yes the cat's outta the bag, mama and dad know now ) up through the beautiful fall leaves to hwa gye sa and sat a very short overnite retreat... I felt like riding back home at least quite a few times during the 24 hours I was there, but now afterwards, life has rattled back into a healthy perspective.. One can surely get a little myopic living in the city where only 1% can speak English fluently.
When I got home from retreat, went on stage at an open mic and got an encore for the first time.. maybe its cause my friends from temple were in the front row, but it was the best I've felt on stage so far ever! yippi! If i keep preforming, ppl are gonna realize I only know 5 songs....
This morning was mondayish to a fault, but my awesome students cheered me right up with some cool skits they put together which were really cool. They spent lots of time on them and so I was happy. :) A Zen Master said, "every moment we have a choise.. to wake up or not."
