its finally spring here in Korea! I can see a couple making out on the roof from my office here in Dongguk, and I am happy the winter is finally gone-- I have been teaching little kids recently, who don't speak any English at all, which has been challenging.. but it can really make your day nice when lil Zara comes over to hold your hand , even if she calles me "pabo" sometimes... (you non Korean speakers will have to be ok with no knowing..)
I went to a big fashion show this month thanks to my new friend Vincent, a Korean adoptee raised in Belgium.. he's really tall and funny and is trying to help out ROKon as well.. Our lil zine is drawing a few local celebs.. now I am trying to get through the kids classes with a minimum of tears and bloodshed and make it to the summer when i can go on a fabulous vacation.
Mojo is back safe in my apartment and we have been negotiating his going out time. . hehe. Check out these photos, hopefully more will follow in the next few weeks.
Love,
Annie
Heres a few Haikus written by my college students :
Its rain today
Flowers falled are weeping
Big trees console them
~~~~
This am very gloomy
So I want drinking today
Life is very hard
~~~~
Sun Shines brightly
My heart burns and gets warm
Breeze cool my heart
~~~~
I lost my cell phone
forienger obtained it
so i can find it
~~~~
Be in full bloom
Before I knew it
Spring has come
~~~~
