Fundaze

Hey everyone!

Last Sunday went to the temple as usual to meditate and hear Dharma talks from my favorite trash-talking Bodhisattva from New Jersey :) My family is from there too. We had a good time chanting "ohm mani padme hung" and afterwards went out to dinner as usual...

Won Do, an older Korean guy with 2 kids who is super nice gave us his rendition of "arirang" a few times over (i have noticed that Korean people of the older generation really know how to sing beautifully) And we tried to record him on a video with my camera.. I think the video didn't work though, so his change at movie stardom may have been lost.

Now i'm eating instant raman (i know, its not healthy but everyone has their addictions i guess) and listening to some guys pounding on rocks with metal hammers outside-- they're making stone tiles for the temple on campus which I can see out my window.. . Everyday I can hear them outside my office all day!

Its freezing but sunny outside and the new semester is going well.. looks like i've got more students for now. The magazine is coming along, and I wrote and article about a protest I went to for human rights. I will send anyone a copy if they request it once its out. Pics to come.
