Hello all!
Sorry I have been slackin' in the blog department. Things have been funny and very busy lately~
I have started a new job at Dongguk University, the biggest ( and only?) Buddhist University in Korea. It’s a beautiful campus, very close to my house. There are often monks and nuns on the campus, who both teach classes and study… I am teaching English conversation to freshman. Some classes are as few ad 8 students while some are over 30. I like both types, and am having fun getting to know all of them! 2 pics from in my room.

These kids live a different kind of life style that my American friends, and have a different world outlook to say the least.. They are usually quite dedicated and committed to succeed, seem a bit main stream and don’t seem to party much, but I did read an essay in which one student was complaining about "the irony of capitalism" !!
Anyways, I'm lucky to be here. I'm even gonna get some Vacation time, a word I had almost forgotten.
Last weekend at Hwa Gye Sa, a New Jersey born Zen teacher Hyon Gak Sunim proclaimed to everyone at the coffee house that I had more Buddhist karma than he did after he heard about my new job...I asked him a bit later, "Well, what if we are just practicing Buddhism, not because we want to but because it’s a karmic habit from past life times?" His response: ``Its still a Cadillac baby! This 'aint no Yugo.''

Haha. He is really great. Listening to his Dharma talk, he is like a child discovering it for the first time. Like, "Wow! This is amaaazing!"
Other than spiritual life, I have been dancing with my friends at music shows and working on out magazine, ROKon.. (As in Republic Of Korea) plus Rock On Garth! Its really starting to take off with 1000 copies and a color cover for out last issue.
Mojo my cat is doing quite well, and I'll try and send more pics of him, though he won't sit still…
Much love,
Annie
ps here the cover of the new Zine.. ;)

When you were born we were thinking you were more in line with a Toyota or Subaru than a cadillac...
either way you can rejoice in your precious Carma
