Spring wasp flower

So Spring has made its way to the peninsula , finally!! The magnolias and cherry blossoms have come out for their brief ephemeral stint, and the cold has given up. (hopefully some pics to come of the flowers)

Today I had one of the wonderful, all be it rare, "I LOVE Korea" days. Its really a great country in many ways, but after the eternal cold winter here plus cloud of yellow dust pouring in from China and pollution everywhere sometimes one can forget that. Still, walking around the alley ways near Korea Times, i felt very luck to be here-- I work in one of the best areas in Seoul now a days, right next to the main temple in the largest order of Korean Buddhism, the historical imperial palace and the best street for art galleries, traditional tea and veggie food. (yes, I've been striving for vegetarianism recently, some times more successfully than others.)

I just met a group of Nuns who spoke Chinese wandering the streets (there are many Buddhist shops on the temple's street.. Mom would freak! ) and they turned out to be part of a pure land Buddhism order, just visiting in Korea for a while.. they gave me a string of mala beads to make a connection with me, and I invited them to Hwa Gye Sa.. hopefully they will go!
